A greener way to explore Singapore

Today, Gogreen Holdings unveiled its pilot dockless scooter sharing program, the first of its kind in the country, at One Fullerton. With international superstar, Mr. Jackie Chan at the launch to hop on one of its first scooters, the Gogreen powered by Segway scooter sharing set the stage for a new era of transportation within Singapore.

The innovative fleet requires minimal coaching to operate, and will enable tourists to explore the city in a fun way, while keeping their journey environmentally friendly. Mr. Jackie Chan, who is also a Gogreen Holdings shareholder, says:

“It is a great privilege for me to launch the first fleet of Gogreen dockless electric scooters here in Singapore. This initiative not only promote green technology – something I strongly believe in – but the versatility of the Gogreen dockless scooters also allows travelers to discover the city at their own pace and time in a convenient and unique way, especially with an increasing number of free and independent travellers in Singapore.”

With close to 10 years of e-mobility based attraction management experience, Gogreen Holdings has been the exclusive distributor of Segway Products in Singapore since 2008. To date, more than one million riders have had the opportunity to experience their e-mobility rides and tours in Singapore, which sets the largest number of Segway riders in the world. Gogreen Holdings also holds an excellent safety track record of less than 0.005% incidents to date.

In addition, the Segway ES2 Electric Scooters to be used in Gogreen’s dockless sharing program, meet the required physical criteria for Personal Mobility Devices, set forth by the Active Mobility Advisory Panel from the Land Transport Authority (LTA)

“As a global leader in the fields of intelligent short-distance transportation, Segway-Ninebot has always been committed to using intelligence to change people’s travelling experience and lifestyle. Gogreen and Segway-Ninebot have always maintained a long-lasting partnership and we are honoured to collaborate with Gogreen Holdings as the official scooter for their scooter-sharing program here in Singapore, said Segway CEO Mr. Gao LuFeng.

The introduction of the new Gogreen powered by Segway dockless electric scooters is the first phase of a larger scooter-sharing program, scheduled for Q3 2018. Tourists can look forward to downloading an app at a later stage that integrates educational and entertainment aspects, giving users a richer experience as they learn more about Singapore and its attractions while riding the device. Gogreen Holdings will also look to collaborate with key tourism precinct stakeholders, such as the Fullerton Heritage and also hotels and attractions to provide more incentives for tourists.
